Lipid Panel: What is Cholesterol

Most people may not know a lot about their health, but they’ll know their Total Cholesterol level. At the same time, they may not know their other individual lipid levels, including

  • Triglycerides

  • HDL Cholesterol

  • LDL Cholesterol

  • VLDL Cholesterol

All these levels plus the Total Cholesterol / HDL Ratio are checked in the Lipid Panel of the Comprehensive Blood Panel. Click here to see everything that is included.

An allopathic approach is to automatically prescribe a drug without looking into the cause of the high total cholesterol. These drugs have various side effects, including muscle aches and pain and/or nutrient deficiencies such as CoQ10.

But what if high cholesterol was really just your body’s attempt to heal and repair? Cholesterol is needed for fat digestion, the utilization of Vitamin D, hormone production, and the repair and growth of every cell in the body.

Taking a holistic approach, one can explore the root cause of high cholesterol. The initial challenge of looking at holistic alternatives is that you will have to do the work and be a part of your health and wellbeing. These are the good old “diet and lifestyle changes” along with certain vitamins and minerals.

While this may seem overwhelming, you can do it one step at a time. What was first a challenge shifts into an opportunity with incredible benefits. Enjoy the journey and imagine more energy and clarity!

Here are a few things to consider when supporting healing, repairing, and optimizing cholesterol levels.
